Chamomild-ANB is a botanical extract of Roman chamomile flower (Anthemis nobilis) grown in France, where it has become popular with a long history of Roman chamomile cultivation. Roman chamomile is also commonly called garden chamomile, English chamomile, or ground apple and has long been used as a medicinal plant in Europe. In traditional herbal medicine, Roman chamomile was used as a painkiller, diuretic, and digestive aid. The flower is also commonly found in herbal teas, perfumes and cosmetics. Chamomild-ANB shows anti-oxidant activities by DPPH and FRAP assays and anti-inflammatory activities by inhibiting nitric oxide (NO) synthesis as well as inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) protein expression.
